2012 HUMAN RIGHTS HONOREES

HYANNIS – Church Women United of Cape Cod (CWU) has named four honorees, who were celebrated at its 2012 Human Rights Brunch to be held Thursday, February 2, from 10 to 1 p.m., at Our Lady of Victory Parish Hall, 230 South Main St., Centerville MA.
The Human Rights honorees are Ilene Bendas, minister of children, youth and families at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Chatham; Dolores and Joseph DaLuz, civil rights advocates for over 50 years from Hyannis, and Brenda B. Swain, executive director of the Falmouth Service Center.
The honorees were nominated and selected because of their dedication to human rights and as people who work to ensure that these rights are realized with dignity and respect. The theme of the celebration is Sights and Sounds of Harmony: Embracing Our Oneness.
